What to have ready when you call

A five-minute call usually covers it. The more of this you know, the faster we can match a crew and the closer the written estimate will be to the final bill:

• Pickup and delivery addresses, or at least the ZIP codes and building names
• Your move date and whether it can shift a day either way
• Home size and anything heavy or fragile: piano, safe, sectional, glass, art
• Stairs, elevator reservations, loading docks and where a truck can park
• Whether your building needs a certificate of insurance, and its deadline
• How much packing you want done for you

What happens after you call

1. We ask about the move, not just the date. Addresses, floors, elevator, parking, heavy pieces and how much packing you want.
2. We tell you what is realistic. If your building needs a certificate of insurance or an elevator reservation, or your date falls on a busy snowbird weekend, you hear it on this call.
3. We match a registered, insured crew. The mover is chosen for the size of the job and the access at both ends.
4. The mover puts it in writing. You get a written estimate and contract before move day, and you can call us back with questions at any point.
