How we work

About Pompano Go Movers in Pompano Beach, FL

One phone number for coastal Broward moves, a registered and insured local crew for the work, and the price in writing before move day.

What Pompano Go Movers is

Pompano Go Movers connects you with independent registered movers who perform the move. We are the coordinating side of the move: we answer the phone, find out what your move really involves and match you with a local moving company that has the crew, truck and equipment for it. That mover gives you its own written estimate and contract and performs the move.

We say this plainly because it matters when something needs fixing. The company named on your estimate and contract is the company responsible for your belongings on move day. You should know its name, see its Florida registration and keep its paperwork, and we make sure you have all three.

Why we set it up this way

Moves on the Broward coast rarely go wrong because someone dropped a dresser. They go wrong at the building office, at the bridge or on the calendar: a service elevator booked for the wrong morning, a certificate of insurance that never reached the association, a snowbird Saturday that filled a month ago, a truck too long for a dead-end canal street. Those are planning problems, and they are solved on the phone before move day.

So the job we do is the planning. One call gets you someone who asks about the elevator, the parking and the piano before talking about a date, then matches the move to a registered, insured crew with the right truck and enough people. You get one number to call with questions, and the mover gets a job that was described accurately, which is the single biggest reason estimates hold up on the day.

Registered and insured, and how to check

Every mover we send is registered with the State of Florida as required and insured. Florida requires household movers that operate inside the state to register with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and Broward County's Consumer Protection Division also licenses movers working in the county. Movers that cross state lines need USDOT and MC numbers from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Before you sign, look the mover up by the exact name on your estimate and make sure the name on the registration, the contract and the payment all match. Our step-by-step guide, how to check if a moving company is registered in Florida, shows what to look for.

How a crew gets matched to your move

On the first call we go through the details that decide how the day runs:

  • Addresses, floors and how the truck reaches each door (driveway, curb, loading dock, garage clearance)
  • Elevator reservations, certificate of insurance requirements and building move hours
  • Heavy or awkward items: pianos, safes, sectionals, glass tables, artwork
  • Packing: none, some rooms, everything, or fragile items only
  • The date, how fixed it is, and whether a backup date exists

Then we line the job up with a mover that fits it. A studio on Atlantic Blvd does not need the same crew as a four-bedroom canal house in Lighthouse Point, and a tower on A1A with a two-hour elevator slot needs a crew that arrives ready to work inside that window.

Who you talk to, and who does the work

When you call (831) 293-1195, you talk to a moving coordinator. The coordinator's job is to get the details right, explain what the estimate should cover, flag building paperwork early and stay reachable if your date or inventory changes.

The crews are independent local moving companies, each registered with the State of Florida and insured, and each responsible for its own estimate, contract, equipment and people. We match jobs to crews that work this stretch of coast regularly: A1A high-rises, canal homes east of Federal Hwy, 55+ communities with their own move rules and the warehouse units around the Airpark.

Credentials and paperwork you should expect

We do not hang awards or badges on this site. What we point you to instead is paperwork you can check yourself on every move:

  • The mover's Florida registration, under the exact name on your estimate
  • For moves out of state, the carrier's USDOT and MC numbers
  • A written estimate and contract before any work starts
  • A certificate of insurance for your building when it asks for one
  • The valuation coverage terms and the claim deadline, in writing

Availability: what we promise and what we don't

We promise to pick up, listen and give you a straight answer about what is realistic for your date. We do not claim round-the-clock service, guaranteed arrival times or that a building's paperwork can always be done in a day. When you need a crew on short notice, we check which local movers still have an opening and tell you honestly; our last-minute movers page explains how that works.

Current hours: Call for scheduling (hours to be confirmed). Reviews will appear on this site only once they come from real customers. Phone, service-area map and the request form are all on the contact page.

Where we work

We cover Pompano Beach and the cities within about 25 minutes along the coast and I-95: Lighthouse Point and Hillsboro Beach, Deerfield Beach, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and Sea Ranch Lakes, Oakland Park and Wilton Manors. Keeping the area tight keeps travel time short on hourly moves and means the crews know the buildings. Moves that start here and end elsewhere in Florida or out of state are covered on our long distance movers page, and the full list is on the service areas page.
